Hi again.
More info on 'informants'.
Knowing a conspiracy is afoot, but one which, in fine MI-6 fashion, leaves no 'calling-card', just hints to intimidate, confuse & demoralise the target, I've been deconstructing the condition of Nimbin for a few years, & conclude it is clearly in a deep state of corruption, which, in the final analysis
is diagnosable as 'psychotic', or (whoops?!) 'mentally ill'.
I wrote about available "Alternative" energy sources a few months ago, & sent the piece to a couple of Nimbin media & 'hallowed' names of the "Alternative Movement".
One 'name' on the recipient list was "Peter Pedals", who started the Rainbow Power Company (RPC) with a few others in the 1970s.
I took a gentle shot at the RPC about its preference toward hi-tech products.
When I was living in a small shed in Alternative Way in 2000, which faced across to the office of the RPC, some 60 metres away, 1 day, while working outfront on the forecourt, I saw Pedals outfront of his office with his young child & an SLR camera on a tripod, with a large telephoto lens attached, pointing straight at me.
As I recall, he was in-&-out of the office, but the kid & camera stayed for quite a while, perhaps 1 or more hours.
He was clearly taking photos of me.
I said & did nothing.
He has a program on NIM-FM each Saturday arvo, is regarded highly in the region & has a small tribute in the Canberra National Museum. (A few years ago I paid my respects to him by visiting that tribute (its a video).)
A few days ago, I happened to glance through a copy of the Wonderful mag, "The Nimbin Magazine", & my eye was caught by a name under a group photo of the RPC staff.
Lo! Peter "van der Wyk"!
He is not listed in the phonebook, & there are no other van der Wyks in the northern rivers region book.
This is the same surname as the woman who lied & informed the police that I had a rifle.
Peter knows of my investigations into the blackmarket in marijuana, & of my leading attempts to change the laws to legalization.
As you may know, about 70% of all the money that passes through the village is 'drug money', & no small number of the locals rely on the trade a lot.
RPC no less.
It has to be asked, "Are the two 'van der wyks' here, related?"
I have no doubt 'Pedals' would do such a thing as conspire against anyone who dared be Honourable & fight HIS mob's corruption, as the marijuana market is protected by bent cops, & life here is a constant collusion between them & the 'establishment' locals.
As far as I know, Pedals does not smoke it. But neither do many growers.
I can't be sure, but as this, my type of work - political investigative journalism - threatens the very fabric of life in our utterly corrupt nation, such collusion is also part-&-parcel of the culture.
I think Pete's basicly a Good man, & Wise, but culture is often hard to stay above, say-what?
Speak soon.
Yours,
Omaxa bin Eartha.
